Origin: Oaxaca, Mexico.

Technique: Each piece is hand spun and molded. Fired twice and subjected to a reduction technique yielding its unpredictable tones.

History: According to elders of Atzompa these vessels were used to drink an ancestral chocolate recipe (bitter and mostly cacao). The "popote" would be used to blow air yielding the bubbles/foam in chocolate.

Approximate Measurements:

  • 3.5 in H X 3.5 in W

Care: Dry completely before storing. Due to it's porous nature, soft soaps are recommended for any of your barro pieces.
