Carizzo Ring Rodete | Small
Origin: Tlacolula de Matamoros, Oaxaca by artisan and elder Senor Hipolito.
Material: Made from local “reed” found along the rivers in Oaxaca.
Technique: The reed is cut, dried and pounded flat. Once flat, they are cut in flexible long strips that bend to create the artisans design.

Description: These Carrizo rings or rodetes are commonly used in Oaxaca to balance clay pots, gourd cups and copitas.
