Origin: Santa Maria Atzompa, Oaxaca by the Blanco family collective comprised of Emmanuel, Beatrice, Lucina, and Noemi Blanco.
Material: Made out of black and white clay found in and around Atzompa.
Technique: Each piece is hand built and shaped. Each flower petal and leaves are created by hand and applied with wire.
Color: The red color of the body is attained by "bathing" the piece with a fine red clay mix. The color is clay, not paint. The light color is the clay's natural color once cooked.
