Origin: Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, Oaxaca. Sierra Mixe.
Technique: Cooked using open air kilns. Natural Clay finish with slight burn marks adorning it’s surface. Wind, fire temp, debris, and weather all play a role in the finished look. Just like snowflakes, no two pieces are the same.
